We’ve improved on spicy mayo with this aioli that gets complex heat two ways: from umami-packed chili crisp and a sprinkle of gochugaru — the Korean chili flakes add a subtle spice and brick red color. Spread it on sandwiches or dollop on grain bowls or sushi rolls for a pleasant kick.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup
Homemade Mayonnaise or store-bought mayonnaise
- 2 tsp.
fresh lime juice
- 1
small clove garlic, grated
- 1 tsp.
chili crisp
- 1/2 tsp.
gochugaru
Kosher salt and pepper
Directions
In medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, chili crisp, gochugaru, and 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Keep refrigerated in airtight container up to 4 days.
