Here at the Good Housekeeping Institute, we put thousands of products to the test every year in our state-of-the-art labs. During our evaluations, we assess a wide range of criteria, covering safety, performance, durability, ease of use and price point.
We bake cookies in ovens, scramble eggs in pans, measure wear and tear on bedding, put vacuums to work on all kinds of flooring — the list goes on! Depending on the product, we'll even stretch it, drop it or heat it up to make sure it stands up to real life. Then — and here's where you come in — we invite a select group of lucky GH+ members to test some of these product at home, and report back on how the item actually worked. Only after all that do we make our final selections of the best products to recommend to our readers.
Only GH+ members are eligible to join our community of consumer product testers. When you join GH+, you may be asked to help our Good Housekeeping Institute scientists evaluate products, including kitchen appliances, beauty products, electronics and more! This year, more than 100 GH+ testers helped us decide the winners of our annual Best Bedding Awards. A few even received mattresses valued at $1,000. We've also had members test products for our Home Reno Awards, Beauty Awards, Best Snack Awards and more.
To access this exclusive member benefit, the first step is to join our GH+ membership club (you will need to upgrade your existing print subscription or join our All Access subscription if you are not currently a print subscriber to participate in this offering). We will then provide a consent form for you to sign.

Product Tester FAQs
I'm a GH+ member, and I've signed the product testing consent form. How do I know if I've been selected to test a product?
Several weeks after you sign up for GH+, you will receive an email asking you to sign a product tester consent form. You will not be eligible for product testing opportunities until your consent form is signed.
If you are selected to test, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your participation. It will provide information about when you should expect your product to arrive in the mail and the timeframe for completing your review survey.

Why am I receiving surveys from the Good Housekeeping Institute?
At the Good Housekeeping Institute, we regularly conduct surveys to help us recruit testers for studies, gain insights on the latest consumer trends and obtain valuable at-home product testing data. Your responses will help the Good Housekeeping Institute team determine which products you may be best suited to test.
What happens after I review a product?
GH’s at-home testers are often the first people to try new products — think home appliances, electronics, bedding, beauty potions and more — and your feedback might even show up in our trusted online product reviews or in our magazine, along with Lab evaluations from the GH Institute scientists and product analysts.
If you require support after thoroughly reading the guidelines above and signing up or upgrading to join our GH+ membership club, please contact ghmembership@orchidorbit.com for assistance.
