It's been a while since Live fans got the chance to see Ryan Seacrest on the hit ABC morning show, but he made his return this week.
Most fans likely missed that the American Idol and Wheel of Fortune host teased his plans to visit the popular daytime series, he finally made his way on May 14. Ryan was there to promote the American Idol season 23 finale, and he got the chance to catch up with former co-host Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos on the air. While he was only there for a short time, Ryan made sure to shout out his time there in a heartfelt Instagram post. What's more, he also noted how good it felt to be back, even during his first time visiting the new Live set.
"First time on the new set, but somehow it still feels like home," he wrote in the caption. "Thanks for the warm welcome back, @livekellyandmark."
When fans realized Ryan reunited with both Kelly and Mark, they immediately shared how happy this instance made them online.
"It was AWESOME having you back on the show! Love you three together!!!" one person wrote in the comments. "I miss you in the mornings on LIVE Ry Ry! 😢 It was great seeing you again this morning! ❤️," another declared. "Should have made it an hour-long show with @ryanseacrest, so much he can talk about! Loved it! 😍," a different follower added.
Fans remember Ryan first appeared as a co-host on Live back in 2017, when he replaced Michael Strahan on the air. He eventually left after six years in 2023, with Mark taking his spot as Kelly's co-host. Since then, he has continued hosting American Idol while also taking over as Wheel of Fortune host in September 2024.
Even though we definitely miss seeing Ryan weekday mornings, we sure love the moments when we get to see him back in his element!
