Jenna Bush Hager is welcoming a former guest co-host back to the Today show — and fans are already excited by what's to come this week.

Back in March, fans of the NBC morning series were ecstatic when Savannah Guthrie joined Jenna to host her fourth hour show, Today With Jenna and Friends. And since Savannah's week ended, viewers have been begging to see the two back together.

Well, Jenna and Savannah are teaming up again! On May 16, Today With Jenna and Friends shared a surprise announcement on May 16 announcing the news. Posting a photo of Savannah's headshot on Instagram, news broke that she would be a returning guest co-host for the week of May 19.

"Our girl SG will be back in the #JennaandFriends co-hosting chair all next week!" read the official caption. "You don't want to miss it 🫶."

Given how people love to see Jenna and Savannah's dynamic while on the air, this Today show news had them screaming in excitement.

"The duo we NEED," one person shouted in the comments. "Love these girls’ friendship!! 🫶💗💕," another declared. "Why doesn't she become the permanent host with Jenna?" a different follower inquired.

Now, fans know Savannah and Jenna's friendship is one of the most beloved parts about watching the Today show. What's more, the duo isn't afraid to show off their funny sides on national television. As folks experienced on May 14, Savannah and Jenna debuted their "Hot Flashes" dancing duo for a mock America's Got Talent audition with Terry Crews, Howie Mandel and Mel B.

"'The Hot Flashes' are ready to take on @agt (and your local mall walking group) 👯‍♀️," the caption read on Instagram at the time.

Now, this is the energy we all need before the unofficial start of summer ... and we can't wait to see what Jenna and Savannah have up their sleeves!
