Sullivan's Crossing is officially back for season 3 on May 7, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW, and we're ready to dive into more stories happening at the Crossing.

The last time we saw Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), she was finally admitting her feelings for Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray). Only there are some things that may get in the way of their new romance ... like the fact she's pregnant with her ex's baby. And let's not forget Harry "Sully" Sullivan (Scott Patterson) is experiencing his own drama, given how he finally admitted he's the one who caused the accident involving Lola Gunderson (Amalia Williamson)'s mother. And now that his fate is unclear due to the fact he was trapped in the fire at the diner, there's so much more to explore.

While the premise of Sullivan's Crossing feels like it's perfect for television, fans may be surprised to learn how the show came about. It turns out the story is adapted from the popular book series of the same name, written by Virgin River author Robyn Carr. What's more, it's not just Maggie's life that's explored in the books — there are plenty of other tales that fans will love.

So, grab a snack, get comfy and prepare to read the Sullivan's Crossing book series in order.
