Shopping for beauty products can be exhausting. I have my tried and true favorites, but I'm often left wondering, "Is there something better?"
We announced our annual Good Housekeeping Beauty Awards about a month ago, featuring the best-of-the-best in beauty this year. Chemists in the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab assessed 598 beauty products with the help of consumer testers — featuring a range of different hair textures, skin types and tones and ages — to determine the best in skincare, hair care, body care and makeup that delivers results.
We also use special Lab equipment in these tests, like the Courage + Khazaka Corneometer Device to measure skin's hydration levels before and after product application. Right now, several of our winners are on sale for around $10, so there's no better time to try something new and satisfy your curiosity.
