We're back with a brand-new Dubai chocolate recipe: our easy Easter nest cakes! Traditionally an Easter nest cake uses milk chocolate in the 'nest' component (to resemble a proper twig-filled birds nest), but we turned ours into the flavours of Dubai chocolate with white chocolate, ground pistachios and shredded wheat forming the base.
Fill the nests with melted milk chocolate and Mini Eggs and you have the perfect Easter treat to enjoy with friends and family.

Total Time:
25 mins
Ingredients
150g
white chocolate, chopped
50ml
double cream
100g
unsalted pistachios
100g
bitesize shredded wheat (we used Nestle)
large pinched flaked sea salt (optional)
100g
milk chocolate
270g
bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs
Directions
Step 1Put the white chocolate and cream into a medium heatproof bowl and melt over a pan of barely simmering water, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and leave to cool, then stir in the shredded wheat, ground pistachios and flaked sea salt.
Step 2Line a muffin tray with 10 paper cupcake liners. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out an even heaped portion across the 9-10 cups of the chocolate mixture. Press down with the back of a spoon, ensuring the mixture goes up the sides of the paper liner, to resemble a nest. Chill (or freeze) until firm, about 1hr.
Step 3Melt milk chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water (or microwave over low intervals). Remove bowl from heat and stir until smooth. Leave to cool for 2min.
Step 4Working one at a time, drop a heaped teaspoon of the melted chocolate into each nest. Arrange 3 Mini Eggs into the melted chocolate. Chill again until firm, about 2hr.
Step 5When ready to serve, remove from casing and enjoy!
GH Tips:
Should Dubai chocolate be refrigerated? Yes, we recommend refrigerating any Dubai chocolate recipes (including this recipe) to ensure the chocolate keeps its lovely snap, but if you prefer your chocolate on the softer side, you can bring it out of the fridge for 5-10 minutes before eating.
Can I omit the pistachios? You can omit the pistachios, absolutely, but it won't taste of Dubai chocolate. You may want to add a different nut to balance out the sweet white chocolate mixture. Ground pecans or even sesame seeds would work beautifully in this.
