Boxing Day sales are arriving earlier and earlier – if you're on the hunt for a new vacuum cleaner and didn't snap one up in the Black Friday sales, these pre-Christmas deals are set to be just as good. We expect to see discounted prices at all the major online retailers and department stores, such as John Lewis, Amazon, AO, and Currys PC World.
We also know there are a lot of deals that look impressive but sometimes, prices have been inflated and then dropped down to make them seem more enticing. Fear not, we'll be making sure the offers we highlight are genuinely worthwhile deals.
What vacuum cleaner is right for you?
There are three main types. An upright is good if you want something portable and lightweight with lots of suction. A cylinder model is more traditional – you pull it behind you and it has a long hose. There are also cordless vacuum cleaners that can convert between a stick and a handheld cleaner (check the battery life on these). And there are also robot vacuum cleaners that do the cleaning up for you.

We’re already spotted some top pre-Christmas deals from the likes of Shark, Miele and Hoover – and there are sure to be more bargains to come on the best vacuum cleaners this winter.
