Christmas wreaths have formed part of our festive decorations for hundreds of years – and there are lots of ways to use them. They're most often used to create a welcoming display on your front door, perfect for festive guests, but they're also great for brightening up your mantelpiece or as part of a festive table centrepiece to admire during Christmas dinner.

Best Christmas door wreaths to buy now

Although the natural botanical materials that are traditionally used to create these leafy rings were originally meant to symbolise eternal life, ironically, real Christmas wreaths only tend to last a week or two at a time. Fortunately, there are many artificial wreaths that look very realistic and can be used year after year. Or, alternatively, you can go completely non-traditional with a fabric, bauble or even disco-ball wreath instead. If you're a fan of these out-of-the-ordinary decorations, you might be tempted by our top festive decorating prediction: Kitschmas!

If you don't have a door knocker, then you'll need a wreath hanger, but these can be picked up from the likes of Amazon for around £5.

Our top tip? Store your artificial wreath carefully in a dust bag during the off-season to ensure that it remains lovely year after year. Don't be afraid to give it a light brush with a damp cloth once a week, too.
