Jennie Garth is saying goodbye to a beloved family member.

On May 18, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star went on Instagram to share a solemn update about a loved one in her life. Sharing a photo of her standing on a beach with her dog Pearl, Jennie revealed her pet had died a few months earlier. Despite there being some time since the sad moment occurred, Jennie wrote about the impact Pearl had on her over the years.

"It’s been a couple of months, I haven’t wanted to talk about it," she wrote. "She changed our lives. My Pearly girl will be with me forever in the softest place in my heart, where I cherish all the people who have left but whom I still feel everyday. Thank you life for allowing me to feel love so deeply 🪽🩵."

When fans learned of Jennie's heartbreaking personal loss, they immediately reached out to share their condolences.

"I'm so sorry for your loss 🐾 it's a pain no one will understand unless they have lost their fur baby 🌈," one person wrote in the comments. "Sending love to you. 🐾🌈❤️," another comforted. "So very sorry for your loss!" a different follower added.

As fans may know, Jennie's love for Pearl and her other dog Sandy has been displayed all over her social media. While she has shown off moments with Sandy over the last few months, her last Instagram post with Pearl occurred just over a year ago in February 2024. Uploading a photo montage of various poses between her and Pearl, Jennie couldn't help but express just ho much she adored having the pup in her life.

"Doggie appreciation post! 🐕‍🦺," she wrote at the time in the caption. "I love her so much I can’t even explain it 🖤."

Our hearts are with Jennie and her family.
