Pamela Anderson stepped out in Paris looking effortlessly chic in a timeless all-white look - and we can't believe we've let the statement piece of her ensemble go under the radar for so long.
The star radiated sophistication as she wore a cream roll neck jumper with long sleeves, black pointed toe court shoe heels and sheer tights. The pièce de résistance of the look, however, was her tulle midi skirt.
Pamela's ivory Dior skirt featured a sheer outer layer with a shorter slip beneath to create a subtle layered effect.
The midi skirt has long been established as one of the most versatile wardrobe staples. The mid-calf length is a flattering cut, while the length also makes it suitable for a range of occasions, from formal outings (with your favourite pair of heels) to more casual daytime events (trainers will easily dress this down) or even for a smarter office look (add brogues or heeled boots).
The tulle midi, however, has been overlooked for far too long and - as Pamela proves - is just as versatile but feels fresher, more original and yet completely timeless.
If you're looking to take a leaf out of Pamela's book, there are plenty of high street tulle skirts which channel her look.
This layered Phase Eight skirt is a close match to Pamela's designer pick and is currently on sale:
But don't be afraid to inject some texture and variety into your options, too - tulle isn't just for ballet skirts but can be modern and fun. Take this polka dot pick from Hush or (and okay, it isn't strictly tulle) the brand's metallic sequin version, which packs extra punch:
For something a little more traditional (think ballet, but off-duty), this blush option from Twinset is dreamy:
Or, go for the bold orange version above to inject some energy into your ensemble, while the black M&S choice is a cheat code to an effortless, 'goes with everything' tulle.
