Meghan Markle is the latest celebrity to follow in the footsteps of Pamela Anderson, stepping in front of the camera makeup-free. While we love a full-glam look, there’s no denying how refreshing it is to see the stars go au naturale on occasion.

The Duchess of Sussex ditched the makeup for her first ever podcast interview on the Jamie Kern Lima Show where she sat down to bare her soul along with her skin. She wore her hair down in loose ghost waves, her skin was glowing beautifully, and the lack of makeup allowed her freckles to shine through.

Podcast host Jamie shared in the caption of her Instagram post: ‘She and I decided to do the episode the same way we spend most of our time together – with no makeup on, in our sweats, and cozied up in these two rocking chairs I have at my house.’

The interview, where Meghan opens up like never before, is of course an emotional rollercoaster. She was left wiping the tears away as she read out a sweet letter from her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet which read: ‘From Archie and Lili via Papa. We love your cooking. We love your pancakes and we love, love, love your hugs. You're the best mummy and we love you.’

Clearly anticipating the weepy moment, she said: ‘This is why it’s so nice to not have makeup on’.

For those not quite ready to ditch the mascara like Meghan, don’t worry - luckily, GHI have tested the best waterproof mascaras.

The podcast episode has already gained over 100,000 views, which you can watch on Youtube.
