Kate Moss has announced the launch of her own wellness brand, Cosmoss, positioned as "self-care created for life's modern journeys," according to the company's Instagram account. Launching on the 1st September at cosmossbykatemoss.com, it "draws on the extraordinary life experience of Kate Moss — ready to share her journey of self-acceptance and freely be herself".
The news comes after the British supermodel and pop culture icon has branched out into other areas of business, representing talent – including her daughter Lila – at her eponymous agency conceived in 2016, as well as becoming the UK's creative director of Diet Coke earlier this year.
While this is her first venture into the commercial world of wellness, Moss has openly spoken about her love of daily yoga for some time now, being tutored by Nadia Narain – one of London's most celebrated yoga teachers and the author of multiple self-care books. Moss also famously frequents TheLifeCo Bodrum, a wellbeing and detox retreat; and at home is a fan of juicing (so she told The Guardian).
Still, Moss is as synonymous with a party lifestyle as she is with fashion, but Cosmoss may well challenge the notion that wellbeing and hedonism can't coexist. It's said to be "a celebration of every day exactly as it is, with all its imperfections," seemingly removing the virtue from popularised self-care.
While details of the brand's exact commodities or services are yet to be confirmed, it's been revealed that: "Each product has been meticulously crafted with wellbeing in mind; each ritual opens a door to balance, restoration, and love."
No doubt it will bring with it Moss' spirit of allure, with her signature effortless cool and some quintessentially British quirk. We'll certainly keep you posted.
