Whether you love or hate them, micro-fringes have been taking over the red carpet, with stars such as Pamela Anderson and Zoe Saldaña jumping on the controversial trend. Now it’s the turn of Frankie Bridge, who’s never been one to shy away from bold beauty trends. Throughout the years, she’s experimented with her look, from her iconic pixie crop to bleached brows, so it’s no surprise that she’s the latest celebrity to jump on the micro-fringe train.
The presenter and former Saturdays singer showed off her new Audrey Hepburn-esque hairstyle at the BAFTAs, taking to the red carpet with a slicked-back bun plus a striking new micro-fringe. Her new micro-bangs sat a few centimetres above her dark brows and were styled into a soft curl for a statement look.
While the micro-fringe trend definitely isn’t for everyone, Frankie’s fans were quick to share their love for Frankie’s new look. Commenting on the Instagram reveal of the makeover, one posted: ‘One of the most stylish fashion icons in the world – there is not a look or style she can’t do’. Others even thought Frankie had brought back her Saturdays-era style: ‘Oh my goodness, I thought the pixie cut was back on the first pic! 🔥’
Frankie’s blessed with the kind of bone structure to pull off any look, but it seems even she may have her doubts about making this most Marmite of fringes a permanent change.
Her hairdresser, Carl Brembridge, shared a behind-the-scenes peek on his Instagram Stories to reveal that the star’s new hair was actually… a faux fringe. If you’re toying with this style, it’s the no-risk way to try it out without the full commitment.
